President-elect Trolls Fox News Telling Them He’s Open Minded

Explains He Remains “Open Minded” on Environment He Intends to Destroy

In a world where actions speak louder than words, Mr. Trump shared during an interview with Fox News that he remains “very open minded” regarding issues related to the environment. He then immediately flipped on the issue by expressing that he will not let the environment get in the way of his agenda.

“I’m very open-minded. I’m still open-minded. Nobody really knows. Look, I’m somebody that gets it, and nobody really knows. It’s not something that’s so hard and fast. I do know this: Other countries are eating our lunch.” – Donald Trump regarding the environment

Actions over Words

Trump’s actions to date have demonstrated zero tolerance or willingness to accept climate change science. He’s steadily filled his cabinet and direct supporters with incredibly wealthy fossil fuel tycoons, conspiracy theorists, and climate change deniers. He’s called climate change a hoax perpetuated by the Chinese and seems to continue his methods of pandering to an audience even after the election.

Modern Age McCarthy

Trump’s transition team has requested the names of every specific individual that has attended a climate change conference in the last 5-years as well as the names of any scientists that have worked on the issue. While his energy policy hearkens back to the 1950’s his political approach seems to do the same by invoking the terror and fear tactics employed by Joseph McCarthy following World War II.

An active witch hunt that is being led by the transition team hardly sounds like an open mind. It sounds more like an attempt to re-write history and purge anyone that doesn’t agree. Strategies typically reserved for North Korea, Iran, and the Kremlin.

The Dakota Pipeline

Trump was also asked where he stood regarding the Dakota Pipeline. The President-elect shared that he expected the current administration to have the matter resolved before he takes office. In the event it isn’t, he was quoted as saying “I’ll have it solved very quickly.”

When asked to clarify, Trump continued,

“I’m just saying, something will happen. It’ll be quick. I think it’s very unfair.” – Donald Trump

He also shared that he continues to review the Paris Climate Agreement including the commitments and the timeline.
